In December of 1970 they started recording their fourth album and their sessions lasted till the next summer due to several factors like the band wanting the album to remain untitled, they wanted nothing written on it and no texts or credits anywhere on the album itself or on its outside or inside sleeves. They wanted their music to the talking but were talked out of it by their label and there were credits added to the albums inside paper sleeve, but it had nothing to help in identifying the album or its distributers on the front cover. Their label also managed to sign artists like Bad Company, Pretty Things, Maggie Bell, Detective, Dave Edmunds, Midnight Flyer, Sad Cafe and Wildlife. The label remained successful for the duration of the band's existence and was folded less than three years after they disbanded (Davis 47). This was also an immediate success. Their planned tour had to be cancelled when lead singer Plant and his wife were involved in a serious car crash and it took him a whole year to recuperate. Their album, Presence was released in spring of 1976 and debuted at number one both in America and England despite poor reviews from the press and their movie, The Song Remanis the Same received poor reviews as well.
