The spring of 1977 saw the band resume their tour of America but two months later, the tour was canceled when Plant's six-year-old son. Karac, died from a stomach virus. In Through the Out Door was released in September 1979 as their eight studio album and was recorded at the Swedish Polar Studio. It also showcased John Bonham's talents on the epic "Carouselambra."
